Introducing Nick Ward - Your Independent candidate for Chalkwell Ward
I am standing as your Independent candidate in Chalkwell because I want to support other Indepentdent councillors in their efforts to turn Southend-on-Sea around.
Over the past few years I have seen what a diffrence having an Independent Councillor in other wards has made. Suddenly residents are being told what is going on in the Civic Centre and their voices are being heared . Issues that are being dealt with and concerns are being addressed. This is happenening because Independent Councillors care. They care about their community and care about the enviroment we live in,but, above all they care about you, the residents.
My desire are to have:
A Consultive local goverenment which LIStens to Residents by not ignoring results of public consultations.
Improved infusturcture-jobs-roads-schools-parking-family housing-bus services and amenities.
Safer neighbourhoods by strengthingthe partnership between police, councillors and residents.
A re-vitalised Southend by having planning polices refecting the needs of residents and businesses.
A Strong, financially controoled and managed council.
